Frida Kahlo’s biography is just as interesting as her paintings. Thousands of people are looking for info about Frida Kahlo the famous Mexican surrealist painter who is featured today on Google Spotlight. She was born on July 6, 1907, near Mexico City. She studied medicine, but she turned her attention away from it after a serious bus accident in 1925.
Kahlo began a full-time painting career and while she was recovering from the accident she painted to occupy her time. She created 143 surrealist paintings, although only 55 of them are self-portraits that often incorporate symbolic wounds. Frida Kahlo was influenced by the Mexican mythology and the Mexican culture in general, christian and Jewish themes often appear in her artwork.
Her personal life was complicated, she married the Mexican painter Diego Rivera in 1929. Kahlo died on July 13, 1954 because of pulmonary embolism. Some people suspected she may died from an overdose, however there was no autopsy performed.
There was a movie created about her life, it’s called Frida and it’s a 2002 biographical film and it stars Salma Hayek.

And where are the photos of this self-obsessed girl kittenishly celebrating her Soviet hero Stalin — who devised such wonders as the White Sea Canal and the pan-Soviet chains of recreational resorts known as the Gulag…? There are at least two photos in the MxCity museum of Frida oozing over an image of Uncle Joe. They would add to her fame. I do wonder why there aren’t postcards of these two testimonials to her political acumen…? She seemed also to be chums with Trotsky whom Uncle Joe caused to be assassinated.
It is an interesting video. She drawn interesting eyesbrows.:)
