This Sunday June 27, soccer’s greatest rivalry will be renewed in Free State Stadium Bloemfontein. England and Germany will meet again for the 5th time in the Match 51 of World Cup series with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.

Both teams are fired-up and confident enough to get rid of any obstacles along the way to get their victory. Although two rival team coaches Joachim Low of Germany and his England counterpart Capello are facing potential selection difficulties.

Germany’s midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger suffered a thigh injury from Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Ghana while defender Jerome Boateng will probably be out due to a calf problem. However, Miroslav Klose is back after suspension.

“Bastian is the engine of our team, both in the offense and in defense,” Loew said.

On England’s team, Wayne Rooney will surely appear on the game this Sunday after experiencing an ankle problem during their match against Slovenia last Wednesday.

“Wayne Rooney can always explode,” Loew said. “He has scored an incredible number of goals in the Premier League. This is going to be a huge job for our defense.”

This match will surely be a tough one, aside from the two teams being a favorite in the World Cup, they are also both on high spirits and determined to make it to the quarterfinals.
