Google manages to renew its license in China

The relationship between Google and China begin to return to normal after some bitter disputes held between the search giant and the Communist government in recent months.
This Friday, the famous search engine announced that the Chinese government will renewed its Internet content provider license, which allows Google to operate in China. “We hope to continue providing service with our search engine and local products to our users in this country,” said the multinational in a statement on its official blog.
The confirmation has come shortly after Google CEO Eric Schmidt announced that he hoped that this would occur. Google announced last week that its search engine was “partially blocked” in China, after the expiration of its operating license, because although it was granted in June 2007 for a period of five years, it must be ratified annually by inspection.
