Evaporative cooling is the basis of outside fogging appliances. Evaporation can make water absorb large amounts of heat as it changes from a liquid state to a gaseous one. Types Of Outdoor Mist Cooling Systems:
Low pressure misting systems draw water pressure from the main water supply of a house. This water supply is typically between 40 and 60 pounds per square inch (psi). These systems are the most affordable to buy and operate and can be installed easily by most homeowners.
Mid-pressure misting systems use an electric pump to raise the home's water pressure between 160 psi to 250 psi. They create a finer mist which reduces temperature and doesn't leave behind as much moisture. They are generally as simple to install as low-pressure systems. All you have to do is connect the pump to the electric source and supply tubing. They are however more costly initially and more difficult to operate.
High pressure misting systems use large, powerful misting pumps that raise the water pressure from 750 to 1,500 PSI. High-pressure systems cool quickly and effectively and leave little moisture behind. High-pressure systems can be quite costly and use significantly more electricity than mid-pressure misting pumps.
